1019(mp3-03) C.P. Willsea - First Shed Drone

First Shed Drone
This is a recording of the first "musical" sounds made in the newly remodeled 1019 Lodge. It was created with a minimal version of the [cigar box -> tape loop -> reverb] rig that I used to record "4/4". A bunch of stuttering out of tune pentatonic riffs loop and coalesce into a dense echoing stream of sound.

1019rec(01) C.P. Willsea - 4/4

c.p.w. - 4/4

This is my first release under my own name, and the first 1019 records tape. It's 62 minutes of swelling and ebbing drones, created with tape decks, guitar pedals, field recordings, and amplified cigar box instruments. Creepy ambience and hulking loop-based compositions. Released on 10/25/08 during hectic shows at noise pancakes in sf and metamusic in sc.

KAMM is a very impressive noise rig. Young Fiction is a dude and a sweet guitar and a lot of keys. c.p.willsea hits shit with hammers and plays hits with samplers.
